All our instructors and leaders are fully qualified and experienced so you can be sure of a professional and high quality service.

Dringo Adventure is run by Gareth Davies and Rhian Jones, helped by a team of seasonal and part-time staff, all of whom are fully qualified and experienced instructors.

Gareth started his outdoor career whilst studying Accounting and Finance at Aberystwyth University. He quickly realised that accountancy wasn't for him and diverted his attentions towards a career in Outdoor Pursuits. He has been climbing and mountaineering for over 20 years and has climbed extensively throughout the UK and Europe.

Gareth has been teaching, instructing and leading groups in the hills for 12 years. During this time his work has included instructing at Plas y Brenin, the National Mountain Centre, teaching at various LEA Outdoor Education Centres and lecturing on H.N.D. and N.D. outdoor pursuits courses for colleges.

Gareth is a qualified Mountain Instructor and full member of the Association of Mountaineering Instructors. He holds the Summer and Winter Mountain Leader Awards, the Single Pitch Award, BCU Level 2 Kayak Coaching Award, Swift Water Rescue Technician Level 1 and is qualified in Emergency First Aid. He is also a qualified Geography Teacher.

Rhian gained a degree in Law and German at Cardiff University and, after a period of time working in London and Bristol, she escaped city life and moved to North Wales.

She has worked in the outdoors for four years, at various centres and schools, including Plas y Brenin and LEA Outdoor Education Centres. Rhian holds the Summer Mountain Leader Award, the Single Pitch Award and various Kayak and Canoe Coaching Awards. She also holds an Emergency First Aid Certificate and is a qualified Modern Languages Teacher. Her love of travelling, languages and the outdoors has taken her all over the world, and she has trekked, climbed, sea kayaked and cycled in New Zealand, South America, Alaska and Europe.
